Always fascinated by visual imagery — in nature and in art, Isabel chose the oil painting medium to translate her vision of people, animals, and landscape. Portraits continue to dominate her interest. As an artist, Isabel is continually inspired by the legacy of other artists and refreshed by the novelty in every face she paints.

An artist since her childhood in Connecticut, Isabel graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in art history. In addition, she studied drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and painting. She received her Master's Degree in art history from the Villa Schifanoia, Florence, Italy.

After living in New York City for several years, she moved to Los Angeles, where she has continued painting, concentrating on portraiture for over twenty-five years. In addition, she does still life pieces, figurative work, and landscapes. As an oil portraitist, Isabel paints personal as well as official portraits and has clients from Los Angeles to Paris.
