Mary is a good friend as well as a client, she is a modern, educated woman with lovely
manners and an edgy sense of humor. By painting Mary on the porch wearing heirloom pearls and favorite jeans, I attempted to capture
her endearing personality while alluding to a lifestyle of the "new south".
