Connie Szerszen
About the Artist
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Connie enjoyed a successful career as a Radio/TV Personality, featured on the CBS-TV news, Chicago Sun-Times, and U.S. Congressional Record; while continuously winning awards for her art. She placed first in a national contest for a Paramount Pictures production. Her portrait of "It's A Wonderful Life" stars, Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, recently took an award at The Studio of Long Grove, Illinois. In 2006, Connie was featured in a Crain's Chicago Business article.

Connie has studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, the American Academy of Art, The Studio of Long Grove, and the Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Art in Chicago, Illinois.

In addition to numerous corporate and private collections, Connie's commissions include the St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, where her portrait of the Foundress adorns the chapel entrance. At St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her portraits of the donors are displayed in the main lobby.

In her portraiture, Connie pursues the "ethereal face" in a photo-realistic style, portraying the dearest of fleeting expressions. Connie is represented by several galleries in the Midwest including the Waterfront Gallery at The Abbey in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. She works in pastel, oil, and watercolor, and maintains a studio in the Chicago suburbs.
