The above prices should serve as guidelines only. Please contact the artist to discuss your special requirements. As evidenced in his portfolio, Jim paints Children's portraits, Religious portraits, and Business portraits as well as those special persons you wish to honor and remember.
The artist is also accomplished in watercolor, pastel, and charcoal and the fees for these portraits (up to 24" x 30") will be lower in cost than the fees for oil paintings.
Although the ideal portrait commission allows the artist to meet the subject and make notes, studies, and take photos, the artist has often worked solely from photos. In these cases the artist will judge before starting the painting whether or not the Photographs provide adequate information for a good portrait. Eventually the artist and client will reach agreement regarding all the needs, expectations and other details of the painting above and beyond likeness before work begins.
Arrangements for framing will also be provided if necessary.
