Portrait Artist, Illustrator, and Corporate Design VP, Jim has had a rich and varied career in fine and applied arts. Throughout his successful career he has continued to study and practice his painting skills in oil, watercolor, pastel, and other drawing media. He has been a very active portrait painter since graduating from art school and continues to receive recognition for his expertise in painting the young and mature as well as the prominent. His clients have been impressed by his ability to capture likeness and personality and each work is a fine painting in itself.

His style of painting has been characterized as impressionistic and this may result from the influence of his two favorite portrait painters, John Singer Sargent and Nicholai Fechin.

The artist is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art having majored in Portrait Painting and Illustration. He continues to practice the disciplines of drawing and sketching by attending life drawing sessions, seminars, and workshops by some of America's best artist and portrait painters.

Jim is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the American Portrait Society, a signature member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Club and the Pennsylvania Watercolor Societies.
