Arizona artist Linda Tracey Brandon has received numerous prestigious
national and regional awards for her portrait and figurative work.
In 2006 she received a Certificate of Excellence from the Portrait
Society of America International Competition for "Is
It Dusk or Dawn?" In 2005 she received an Award of Exceptional
Merit from the Portrait Society of America's 2005 International Competition
for her painting "Claire at
Eighteen". In 2003 she received a High Honors/Finalist award
in the SOCAL/ASOPA Fall Juried Competition and was also a Finalist
in the Portrait Society of Atlanta competition. In 2002 she received
Honorable Mention and Finalist awards in two separate Portrait Society
of Atlanta competitions. In 2001 she received a Judge's Award from
the West Coast Society of Portrait Artists. In 2001 and 1999, Brandon
received Finalist awards in The Artist's Magazine National
Portrait Competitions.
Her works, both portrait and non-commissioned, are in corporate
and private collections across the country.
She has studied figurative, portrait and landscape painting with
several of the leading realist painters working today. Brandon teaches
in the Phoenix area and her current schedule can be found in the
"News" category on this website.
Brandon holds an undergraduate degree in Radio/Television/Filmmaking
from the University of Michigan, where she received High Honors
for her work in creating animated films. She also holds a law degree
from New York University School of Law, where she was a staff writer
for the Law Review. Brandon formerly practiced law in New
York City.
